2- be similar to corticosteroids with respect to muscle strength recovery in the long term

Answer 3
The referenced article is a study on rats and the effect of both anabolic and corticosteroids on muscle healing after contusion. With corticosteroids at day 2 the muscle showed improvement in twitch and strength relative to controls. At day 7 the effects were reversed and the muscles were significantly weaker than control. At day 14 the corticosteroid muscle was degenerated and showed disorganized muscle fibers. The anabolic steroid group showed greater force generating capacity at day 14 than controls.
The only acceptable answer is 3.
